Menus & pricing

A menu built for how people order

Illustrative selection of takeaway meals, sides and sauces arranged as a delivery menu

Your delivery menu has to answer the questions a waiter would normally handle: what is included, how much food arrives and what goes well together. Make those answers easy to find on a phone.

Make the choice clear

Group similar dishes together. Use straightforward item names and short descriptions that explain the portion, main ingredients and accompaniments. Keep photographs consistent with the food customers receive.

Check the menu as a customer would: can someone build a complete meal without opening several categories or guessing what is included?

Build combinations with a purpose

A lunch for one, a meal for two and a family order have different needs. Useful combinations can make those choices simpler. Add-ons should complement the meal, rather than create a long list of unrelated options.

Before changing a price or creating a promotion, review ingredient costs, packaging and the relevant platform charges. More orders alone do not tell you whether a combination is working commercially.

Review, then refine

Look at item sales, customer feedback and preparation capacity alongside the menu. Make a focused change, record when it went live and review the outcome over a comparable period.

Secret Sauce reviews menus and pricing as part of a One-time Audit or Monthly Retainer, helping your team decide what to improve first.
